SummitX Snowboarding is one of the best snowboarders on Android! Maneuver and cut tight corners using responsive onscreen controls; which are intuitive of how you would steer a real snowboard. Simple tricks such as jumps can be done by double-tapping onscreen joysticks, the same goes for correcting yourself mid-air to nail a landing from a steep jump. When you make a big jump there are three ‘Grab’ zones on each side of the board. Hint: grab two or more areas while in a jump and you rack up the points. Hint: ski through the blue flags to earn time bonuses. At the end of the run your points are tallied, exceeding certain thresholds presented at the start of the run earns you bronze, silver or gold medals plus bonus cash. Note: the game encourages you to hone your skills and get gold medals on the first three rounds of a mountain in order to unlock the last three rounds.
The game has a currency system which can be spent in two shops; Board shop and Trick shop. We immediately recommend you invest in a good board as it helps you maneuver acute corners. Purchasing air-bound tricks are not only visually cool but stack bonus points when executed properly.
Whether you’re racing a mountain for the fastest time, jumping insane cliffs, catching serious hang-time or crash-and-burning… SummitX Snowboarding is pure adrenaline pumping fun!
The sheer nature this game is quite addictive, however, it is enhanced a bit as the game encourages you to make the best runs in order to unlock certain rounds. Additionally, there is not just one set path on a run, meaning you can replay a round multiple times just to experience various tricks and outcomes.
One disappointment I did find is that there are no online leaderboards or multi-player online features, which is something the developers Com2uS are notorious for with HD games like HOMERUN BATTLE 3D.
If I haven’t raved enough about the graphics already, you in for for more. SummitX Snowboarding brings console quality HD graphics to a cellphone game. Check out our video and notice the stellar mountainous scenery, snow particle effects, realistic maneuvers, even lighting lens flares… Awesome!
The game features kickin’ tracks from more than 20 bands to rock out to while you’re playing. All of the other sound effects are polished and suitable of the game. Definitely a treat indeed.
