According to the folks at PocketNow, LG has a sexy looking quad-core beast of a smartphone hidden up their sleeve, but lucky for us an image has just been leaked. Everyone meet LG’s X3.
The LG X3 is said to boast a quad-core Tegra 3 processor and a large 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 HD display, 8MP rear camera and a 1.3MP for video chat. The device is also said to have a large 2,000 mAh battery, 16GB of on-board storage with the ability to expand with microSD support, and an NFC transceiver. No word on carrier availability but the phone is believed to have HSPA 21Mbps radios with possible bumps to 4G LTE radios for regional support.
LG’s X3 will most likely run on Android 4.0 but as you can tell by the pictures, it will utilize physical capacitive buttons rather than touchscreen ones. Don’t plan on picking up this phone until late spring/early summer, but it’s very possible that it will be officially announced at this years Mobile World Congress at the end of February. I wonder if the HTC Edge is getting nervous?
