A while back we told you about Verizon’s plans to start offering shared data between members of a family plan. That means all devices enrolled under one family plan will eventually have the option to dip out of one pot of allotted data and according to a leaked screenshot acquired by Engadget, eventually might be real soon.
The screenshot you see above is reportedly from an employee training manual and is appropriately labeled “account level data plans”, or ALP. By the looks of it, a $9.99 charge will apply to each phone line that shares from the lump sum of data, which would obviously have an additional charge in it of itself based on the amount of data chosen. There is still no ETA of when we may see this option available, but for those families or groups who don’t individually use up the 2GB data minimum, this may be a welcome option. We will keep a further eye on this and let you know when we hear more. I imagine it should be available right around the corner, though.
